The leadership and staff of the Center for Communication are deeply saddened by the passing of our valued friend and board member Radha Subramanyam on January 5, 2026.
Radha was an extraordinary leader in the media industry, serving most recently as Chief Research and Analytics Officer at CBS, where she oversaw audience measurement, analytics, and research strategy across the organization. Over the course of her career, she held senior leadership roles at CBS, iHeartMedia, Yahoo!, MTV Networks, and Nielsen, and was widely respected for her ability to translate data into insight and strategy with clarity, rigor, and humanity.
Radha was a generous, thoughtful presence on our Board of Directors. She was a passionate champion of our mission and believed strongly in expanding access and opportunity for young people entering media. She spoke at our Media Career Summit, where she offered candid, thoughtful advice and meaningful encouragement to students navigating early careers, an experience that left a lasting impression on many in our community.
She also strengthened the Center through her unwavering advocacy. She represented CBS and Paramount on our board with intelligence and integrity, and her steady guidance, insight, and commitment were invaluable.
