Anchor Production Assistant, MSNBC The Beat

MSNBC is looking for an Anchor Production Assistant for The Beat with Ari Melber.
 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in compiling research for anchor, maintaining on-air updates during live program

  • Gathering information on breaking news stories for anchors to relay on air

  • Providing daily support by managing calendars, appearance and schedule

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of news production experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.


School of Visual Arts' annual alumni film and animation festival, is hosting their After School SpecialFeaturing some of School of Visual Arts’ most accomplished film, television, animation, and visual effects alumni, this multi-day festival will include screenings and Q&A’s with industry insiders that offer behind-the-scenes looks at the world of television and cinema. All events are first-come, first-served. Doors will open approximately 30 minutes prior to each screening.  


The festival will be held in-person at SVA Theatre from Wednesday 9/17-Sunday 9/21. Screenings include:

  • The NYC Premiere of 7 Beats Per Minute with documentarian Yuqi Kang.

  • Adult Swim's animated series Common Side Effects with co-creator Joe Bennett.

  • The docs Raoul's, A New York Story (with directors Greg Olliver and Karim Raoul) and Pay or Die (with directors Scott Ruderman and Rachael Dyer).

  • The Wild Robot with five of its VFX artists and animators.

  • A "Best Of" screening of SVA's recent graduates' thesis films.


Warner Bros. Discovery Access has partnered again with Reel Works to launch the Post Production Coordinator Training program in NYC this Fall! This 8-week hybrid training program will prepare post-production coordinator trainees for high-end scripted programming. Industry professionals will provide real-world knowledge, collaborative practicums, and tools to enhance communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years old

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Must be within commuting distance of NYC (2 hours max)

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Google Suite, etc.)

  • Have 1-3 years of experience as a Post Production Assistant or Edit Room Assistant, OR equivalent related coordinating/office administrative experience
