The Emerson Coleman Fellowship
The Emerson Coleman Fellowship is a fully funded, hybrid training program that takes students behind the scenes of television programming and production. The program includes a trip to Hearst Tower in New York City, virtual learning sessions with industry leaders and the opportunity for a paid, eight-week internship at a local TV station.

Internship Criteria:
For college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent grads.
The program is a full-time opportunity that requires commitment from May-August 2026. Internship takes place in the summer between June-July 2026.
Internship months may change based on the station.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum two years of relevant professional experience or equivalent educational graduate-level experience
Proven writing skills
Genuine interest in journalism, production and digital content
Possess outstanding news judgment, attention to detail and a keen understanding of news broadcasts and the digital space.
Candidates must have work authorization in the United States through 2026.
