THE 43RD annual STANTON AWARD

Honoring Bill Koenigsberg, Founder and CEO, Horizon Media

The Center for Communication will honor Bill Koenigsberg, Founder and CEO of Horizon Media Holdings, with its 43rd annual Frank N. Stanton Award for Excellence in Communication.  All proceeds from the celebration support the Center's year-round career education programs, which serve more than 10,000 students and recent graduates annually.

Bill founded Horizon Media Holdings in 1989 on the belief that business is personal — and built it into the nation's largest media agency and the largest independent media agency in the world. Among the most decorated executives in the industry, he is a member of both the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame and the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, and the only two-time recipient of the Advertising Age Media Maven Award. He has been recognized by the IRTS Foundation with its Hall of Mentorship Award for his longstanding commitment to developing industry talent.

His selection as the 2026 Stanton honoree celebrates a career defined not just by building a remarkable company, but by how he built it — with integrity, generosity, and a deep belief in the people around him.

About our
Stanton Award

The Stanton Award honors those individuals who not only achieve great success in the business, but who are also passionate about mentoring the next generation of media leaders. Your support of the Stanton Award sustains the Center’s year-round career education programs, providing our talented and motivated community of students with the access and skills they need to launch their careers in media. The award is named after the Center’s founder, broadcasting pioneer and longtime CBS president Dr. Frank Stanton, who established the nonprofit in 1980.
