Cooper Leibner Fellow

The Center for Communication seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic fellow interested in marketing, social media, and writing. This intern will also support program staff during Panels, On Locations, and Summits and must be available to work during evening panels. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Create social graphics and maintain CenCom’s social media presence across platforms

  • Write mid-week and Sunday newsletters sent to our subscribers, board members, and other students in our community

  • Utilize strong social media skills on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok to keep our community engaged and invite everyone to attend our panels

  • Collaborate on content development and assist with project management

  • Craft engaging event recaps and explore new project opportunities

  • Participate in the planning and execution of panels and summits

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Full-year commitment 

  • Strong Writing Skills: Ability to craft engaging content for various marketing channels.

  • Content Creation and Editing: Proficiency in generating and refining written materials.

  • Marketing Understanding: Knowledge of basic marketing principles and audience targeting.

  • Creativity and Innovation: Capacity to develop original marketing ideas and adapt to trends.

  • Media Interest: Curiosity about the media industry and DEI Initiatives

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team to achieve project goals.

Apply for the HEARST Central Video Internship!

The Central Video team at Hearst Magazines produces video content across all of Hearst Magazines brands (including but not limited to Cosmopolitan, ELLE & Harper's BAZAAR). The team handles everything from pre-production and talent booking, to production/filming, all the way through post-production, publishing and programming across multiple platforms.  

The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising Juniors & Seniors. From June 3 – August 16, 2024, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world.  

In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst’s diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst’s resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.  

This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
