Ramon Escobar is vice president of talent recruitment and development and the vice president of diversity and inclusion for CNN Worldwide. He is responsible for the recruitment of all on and off-air talent for CNN U.S., CNN International, CNN en Español and HLN. He also advances the internal development of all anchors, correspondents, contributor and producers. Escobar is based out of New York City and has held his position of vice president of talent recruitment and development since 2012. He was named the vice president of diversity and inclusion January 2017.
He came to CNN after several years spent at Telemundo, most recently as executive vice president of network news, overseeing the entire news division including all international news bureaus and the development of on-air talent. While at Telemundo his other roles included senior executive vice president of entertainment and senior vice president of news and creative services.
In addition to his executive work, Escobar has served as a mentor, teaching several classes as a visiting faculty member at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. He is also a lifetime member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Escobar earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and is a graduate of the Institute of Political Journalism at Georgetown University.

Al Mayers is Bloomberg's Global Head of Television and Radio, the leading global business television and radio network. In this role, Mayers oversees all aspects of both divisions across Bloomberg's four flagship radio stations in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston and San Francisco, as well as the company's media hubs in New York, Washington, San Francisco, Sydney, Hong Kong, Dubai and London. Bloomberg Television is available in over 435 million homes in 70 countries worldwide. Bloomberg Radio shows and short form reports can be heard on over 300 top radio stations across the United States, on SiriusXM satellite radio and is steamed live internationally on the Internet and the Bloomberg Radio+ mobile app.
Mayers has worked at Bloomberg since 2001, first as a station manager and then as the head of radio, responsible for all aspects of radio content and distribution. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mayers was a program director at Entercom Communications and an operations manager for ABC. He has over 30 years of experience in television and radio. Mayers graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Management.
