Account Supervisor, Earned Media Strategist

Who they’d like to join the team

  • We’re looking for a AS with 4+ years of experience who is passionate about creating smart, creative, award-winning work that is earned at the heart and social by design.

  • We would like a team leader who is well-respected by their peers, and who has helped clients advance a business goal and crafted earned centric campaigns for a wide range of clients.

  • The person must excel when working within an inter-agency structure and have the ability to serve as a solid and senior earned strategist for core team and other agency partners. In short, we’re looking for a presence that people don’t forget, especially among senior communications and marketing leaders.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with established Consumer Packaged Goods brands or retail brands as well as nonprofit, tech, health and wellness and hospitality brands.

  • All candidates should be able to operate inside a team structure where they take ownership of the business they support – in this case, rolling up their sleeves to understand and influence the management of their account(s) and take into consideration integrated workstreams outside of traditional PR.

We want self-reliant, self-motivated and proactive people, willing to apply themselves and strategically counsel new and innovative ways to break through a crowded media landscape, take on exciting prospects for the Consumer Marketing practice as needed and apply a critical earned-centric lens to all of our accounts.

This role is cut for a strong earned media specialist that can balance several accounts needs as strategic support and counsel and has strong foundational skills on the ever-changing media landscape to operate as a media lead. The person should be passionate about trend culture and lifestyle brands that ignite social sharing. Background in sports and entertainment and F&B, pop-culture junkie with experience in men and MC demos a plus.

Basic Qualifications

The AS must have at least four years of relevant experience in public relations, communications and marketing and/or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

The AS should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and work from both client and agency sides. S/he should have a track record of leading profitable programs that have advanced client business goals. S/he should be a superb people manager and have experience successfully managing resources and budgets as well as helping win new business. S/he will be entrepreneurial and professional and have the confidence necessary to manage a team.
